Reclaimed wood, planed pine, ladder, willow tree
Approximately 23' x 8' x 8'
The title Fragments of the Unreachable (Things that are Lost to Us) refers to a discovery I made while going through my mother's files after her death. My first husband, who died three years before my mother died, had written her a thank-you
letter after our wedding. I only knew the letter existed after both had died. The light tree against a black ceiling naturally draws the eye upward; we contemplate those things we will never know once our loved ones are gone.
